Bacon Unveils Plan to Bring Nebraska Common Sense to Washington
Thursday, March 17, 2016 – Retired Brigadier General Don Bacon, candidate for the United House of Representatives, unveiled a multi-point policy proposal for transforming Congress with common sense Nebraska solutions.
“The one thing that I consistently hear from people is their alarm at the dysfunction in Washington. Our national future is being jeopardized by a government that overburdens its citizens with regulations, taxes, and debt. We need to seriously address the way we do business and I am putting this plan forward as my platform for what I want to accomplish as the next Congressman from the Second District of Nebraska,” said Bacon.
General Bacon’s plan includes the adoption of a Single Subject Rule for all legislation, a Balanced Budget Amendment, the elimination of wasteful end of the fiscal year spending habits, tightening of transparency and ethics rules, and term limits.
